MAXxess Announces eAXxess™ Now Supports EDGE™ from HID Global®

The first security offering that extends IP-based security from the control center to the door

ANAHEIM, Calif. - June 26, 2008 — Maxxess Systems Inc., the leading company in IP-based security frameworks, announced that its eAXxess™ security system now supports all EDGE™ products from HID Global, the trusted leader in providing solutions for the delivery of secure identity. eAXxess, the first security system that meets all of the five major goals of IP-based systems, now extends the IP network all the way to the door.

The eAXxess system provides a simplified connection to IT infrastructures. It can fully leverage the enterprise’s IT infrastructure, allowing companies to derive benefits such as scalability and flexibility, as well as acquisition, installation and operational cost savings.

Installation costs are reduced because customers can utilize standard Cat-5 or Cat-6 wiring all the way to the door. This eliminates specialized cabling, cuts installation time and is both cost-effective and flexible for future upgrades. In many cases, customers can utilize Power-over-Ethernet to further reduce installation costs.

Because the eAXxess software provides a framework for the management of the security system, it can reduce a number of operational costs. Depending on the application, this includes bandwidth, monitoring and staffing. Customers have reported payback periods of one to two years.

The eAXxess system with the HID Global EDGE products will be available for delivery in July.
