CA — Detex Corporation, a world-class manufacturer of Life
Safety and Security Door Hardware, announces an OEM agreement with
MAXxess Systems Inc., a manufacturer of high-level electronic access
control and security management systems which provide solutions
from two-door systems to large campuses with multi-building or multi-sites
managing hundreds of doors and thousands of badges.
Through
this alliance, Detex will greatly expand product offerings in its
DTX® access control product line and thereby provide its customers
with a much broader range of door control solutions for secure access.
Detex will now offer their customers a coherent set of procurement
options with a high degree of investment protection to expand their
systems in the future.

partnership will allow Detex Corporation to provide software and
components for the 1 – 30 door access control market while
MAXxess Systems Inc. will provide the same for systems beyond the
30-door boundary.
Detex
Corporation will continue to provide support for the less than 30
door system and ensure continuity for all others.
The
DTX® access control line will now feature AXxess™ Express
and AXxess™ Lite software packages for networking and local
computer control, while interfacing with Barlock™ 206 Processor
for communications with keypads and readers. Software packages will
be marketed as DTX® Lite and DTX® Express. As part of this
agreement MAXxess created an installation and configuration wizard
to provide users with an easy implementation and set-up for the
system..
